Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh | October 4, 2026:ย The Global Association of Events & Hospitality Professionals (GAEHP) has formally launched its Uttar Pradesh Chapter in Varanasi, creating a dedicated platform for professionals from the travel, tourism, events and hospitality sectors across the state. The initiative aims to strengthen industry networking, knowledge exchange, government-industry engagement and business opportunities.

The launch also marked the announcement of the chapterโ€™s leadership, with D.N. Singh appointed as Chapter Chairman and Avneesh Pathak as Secretary, Uttar Pradesh Chapter. The newly appointed leaders were felicitated during the programme in the presence of tourism officials, industry representatives, hospitality professionals, association members and other guests.

The event was attended by Amit Gupta, Assistant Director, India Tourism, and Dinesh Kumar, Joint Director, Uttar Pradesh Tourism, who were also felicitated by the GAEHP leadership for their contribution and support to the tourism sector.

The formal inauguration featured a ceremonial lamp lighting and Ganesh Vandana, marking the beginning of GAEHPโ€™s new chapter in Uttar Pradesh. The programme brought together industry stakeholders to discuss the importance of stronger partnerships and collective efforts in developing the stateโ€™s tourism and hospitality ecosystem.

Addressing the gathering were Pranav Bansal, Hon. Secretary, GAEHP; P.P. Khanna, National Advisor, GAEHP; Rajesh Arya, President, GAEHP; Amit Gupta, India Tourism; and Dinesh Kumar, Uttar Pradesh Tourism. The speakers highlighted the need for stronger professional networks, greater collaboration between industry stakeholders and closer engagement with government tourism bodies.

The programme also saw the participation of GAEHP office bearers and team members, including Babita Sharma, Pratibha Arora, Dilip Rajput, Harjinder Singh and Sandip Shaw, who extended their support to the newly formed chapter.

As part of the proceedings, D.N. Singh was specially felicitated for his contribution and long-standing association with the industry. Avneesh Pathak was also felicitated on taking charge as Secretary of the Uttar Pradesh Chapter. The event further recognised Sushil Singh of Jatak Travels for his contribution to the travel fraternity.
The new Uttar Pradesh Chapter is expected to focus on industry networking, knowledge sharing, professional engagement, government-industry collaboration and business development opportunities. Through these activities, GAEHP aims to bring together stakeholders from different segments of the tourism and hospitality industry and encourage greater cooperation across the state.
The launch comes as Uttar Pradesh continues to strengthen its position as a destination for domestic and international tourism, spiritual and cultural travel, business events and hospitality. Varanasi, one of the stateโ€™s key tourism centres, served as the venue for the chapterโ€™s formal beginning.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dilip Rajput, Joint Secretary, GAEHP. The association reiterated its intention to work with tourism authorities, industry associations, hospitality businesses, travel professionals and other stakeholders to develop meaningful initiatives across Uttar Pradesh.

With the formation of the new chapter, GAEHP has expanded its professional network in the state and created a structured platform aimed at connecting industry stakeholders, encouraging knowledge sharing and supporting the continued development of the travel, tourism, events and hospitality sectors in Uttar Pradesh.
