Born in Delhi, Subhash Goyal did his B.Com (Hon.) and is the recipient of the highest honour of Shri Ram College of Commerce (the Hora Gold Medal). He displayed leadership qualities from the very beginning and was elected President of the Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) in the Second year of College, becoming the youngest-ever DUSU President (1966-67). An M.B.A. from Delhi University, Subhash Goyal went on to become the President of the All India Central Board of University Students' Union (1967-70), a body representing over 9 million students. He received his PhD Doctorate Degree in Business studies from the Intercultural open University, Netherlands.
Subhash Goyal is the founder Chairman of STIC Travel Group of Companies, which he started in 1973 as a small travel and information center for students and built it up as one of the largest travel businesses in India, with 40 offices having over 300 professionally trained employees, representing various International Airlines and other tourism related products and services.
An ardent advocate of liberal aviation and tourism policies, Subhash Goyal is constantly trying to persuade the government to allow more International Airlines to start flying to India.
He was unanimously elected as the President of the Indian Association of Tour Operators for 6 years in a row (1995-2000). He has also been an honorary member of various Government bodies including the Tourism Board of Government of India, U.P. Tourism Board, Haryana Tourism Board, Government Institute of Tourism and Travel Management Gwalior, Airport Authority of India, Hotel classification committee, Treasurer - PATA India Chapter, Editor IATO News and a Member of the Tourism Committee of the Planning Commission.
Mr. Goyal is also the Recipient of Gem of India Award, Udyog Gaurav Award, Award for Excellence, Award for promoting National integration and contribution to the tourism industry of India, Order of Merit, he has also received several honors and awards from the Airlines he represents. He is also the recipient of the International man of the millennium Award from International Biographical Centre, Cambridge, Indira Gandhi Millennium Award 2000 and the 5000 personalities of the World award from the American Biographical Institute.
He has been an advisor to various national and international organisations and a columnist with the Hindustan Times on Tourism and Civil Aviation. He has been regularly contributing articles in various trade magazines and newspapers for the development and promotion of tourism in India and South Asia.

Driven by his enthusiasm and expertise, he took the entrepreneurial leap 7 years ago to establish my own travel company, which now operates as a DMC specializing in Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh (Inland Tourways). Taking a long forecast about hospitality industry and its possibilities in near future Mr. Riyaz U C, started a new project- a tour company. The search for an apt name ended up in "Spiceland Holidays and Entertainments Pvt.Ltd", and the main aim was to ensure that once launched it will leave a striking note in everyone’s mind. Spiceland formulated in the year 2004 as a secondary establishment, additional to Mr.Riyaz’s main business body, “Datamate Infosolutions Pvt.Ltd”.
An IT person by profession everyone wondered, why such a move, but over the years it proved that the decision was in the right direction. Spiceland transformed from a two-man team to a 200 member plus team with the Corporate Office in Cochin and Branch Offices in all metro, two tier and three tier cities. The global presence of the company in addition to the domestic presence was expanded to Countries of the Middle East, Europe and United Kingdom. An achievement with Mr.Riyaz UC’s forecast diversification as well as the risk involvement. Fifteen years down the line the company evolved from a general format to a corporate format.
Having achieved these goals on B2B business goal on time, Spiceland started focusing into the international inbound market. Achieving both inbound and domestic branches, the sharp mind started thinking of an expansion. The neighbouring country was a target and started off operations in Srilanka. The same was planned very well with a dedicated team, that after the second year of commencement of operation company started fixed departures to the island country, which was an instant success. The consecutive year too saw these departures and is going on as expected.

Starting out with Peacock Travels Private Limited as Manager Operations , back in 1983 , I continued to function in that role for 5 years till 1988 , after which for as many as 15 Years , I remained the General Manager of Registan Tours Private Limited . Since 2005 till date , I am the Managing Director of K K Holidays & Vacations .
Along the way , I also have a distinguished range of achievements in the industry . For instance back in 1998 , I was solely responsible for spearheading the camping of a group of as many as 240 Swiss German VIP Passengers and also been instrumental in the coordination of camping at Samode Bagh between 1988 & 1992 . Subsequently , it was my vision & elan which was the introduction of Camel safari circuits Nokha Jamba Pushkar as well as various tribal regions . Additionally I also coordinated a massive marathon of as many as 333 kilometres , a record in itself , for a contingent of 46 French passengers . This was an event which received massive media coverage even at an International level . Then when it came to coordinating a bicycle marathon from Jodhpur to Jaisalmer for Vedanta Group’s UK Team , I was once again at the helm of affairs .
Then in 1988 , there was a unique elephant safari which was coordinated by me which went all the way from Jaipur to Pushkar with loud cheers & hundreds of of participants basking in the reverie . Also without a doubt , when it comes to Pushkar in particular , there are a wide range of achievements which are absolutely charachteristic as well as unique . For instance , for 02 consecutive years , I was responsible for coordinating the visit of very profile people from American embassy . Apart from the wide and varied achievements in the industry , I have also been assigned a wide range of high profile roles and responsibilities in the Indian Travel & Tourism industry , which again I have managed to pull off with incredible flair and flamboyance . For instance I am - President of Rajasthan Association of Tour Operators [RATO]- Advisor of the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India [ ADTOI ] - Member of FICCI Tourism Committee of Rajasthan - Co-Chairman - Rajasthan Chapter - Indian Association of Tour Operators [IATO]- Executive Committee Member in Federation of Hospitality & Tourism of Rajasthan [FHTR ]
